The 68 th Pakistan Annual Flower Show 2019 was inaugurated on Thursday 21 February 2019 by Lt Gen Humayun Aziz Commander 5 Corps as Chief Guest who in speech lauded the efforts of HSP in promotion the cause of horticulture in the country. He also distributed the prizes to over 100 winners in different categories. Earlier Chairman HSP Mr Kalim Farooqui gave welcome address. Later Chief Guest inspected the whole show. Due to extra ordinary security press and photography was banned. However few pictures were released by ISPR. Print & Electronic Media stopped at the gate therefore no coverage in next day newspapers and on TV channels which also effects on our gate money! Another cause of low turnover was due to lack of publicity, secondly the CBC (Cantonment Board Clifton) flower show was held just before our show and couple of other events held near our venue confused the general public. However despite of all odds show was attended large number by general public from every part of the city as well number of visitors came from other parts of city as well from abroad. Unfortunately this year no sponsorship and less gate money caused loss in income.
